The conflict between pedestrians and cars has become an increasingly problematic issue for growing cities, especially those with historic centers. I think the Ljubljana story is a great implementation that prioritizes people first without neglecting necessities that cannot be reached by walking. I have seen this dilemma play out in plenty of cities I have lived in, especially in Quito, Ecuador, where there are walkable 'islands' connected by unwalkable roads. I hope an equally effective solution can be implemented in places like these.

The Kavalir story gets to the heart of good pedestrianisation, expanding options for everyone, including people who can't walk long distances. love the "you can feel warm in Ljubljana."
